State Route 6

Picture
SR 6 is an urban arterial route that connects Brentwood and Franklin in Williamson County, south of downtown Nashville. The heavily traveled corridor is also a north-south alternative to traveling I-65. Traffic counts along the corridor average 23,000 vehicles per day.

There are two signalized intersections along this stretch of SR 6, as well as numerous access points due to business, institutional, and residential driveways.

Additional lanes are needed to meet existing and future traffic demands and to provide improved travel times for drivers traveling within and through the area. The planned improvements will also increase safety along the route.
